After you file
@MyTechGuy We cannot tell from your post whether you are using the CD/download or online software. If you are using the CD/download there is always a fee to e-file the state. Always. The state e-file fee is $20 and increases to $25 after March 1. You can avoid that state e-file fee if you print and mail the state.
As to whether your state forms are ready.....click Review to see if you are waiting for forms. The state cannot be accepted until the IRS accepts your federal e-file. The IRS will begin to accept/reject federal returns on January 23.
