After you file
@shirldelva TurboTax does not get any information from the IRS after you file your tax return. Did you make a mistake with the recovery rebate credit that resulted in a reduced refund/tax due? If you already received the EIP payments for 2020 then line 30 on your 2020 Form 1040 should have been blank. Did you receive those payments and say no when it asked you about them? Do not rely on your memory as to whether you received them. Check your bank account for deposits in 2021 and check your online account with the IRS. (A LOT of people made mistakes with that recovery rebate credit).

Your 2020 return should have included your answers about BOTH of the stimulus payments made for tax year 2020. Lots of people messed it up because the 2nd payment did not arrive until early 2021. But it had to go on your 2020 return.
The first EIP --or stimulus check--- was issued in 2020 It was for $1200 for adults and $500 for a dependent under the age of 17. The IRS used information from either your 2019 or 2020 tax return to issue those checks so they could send them out in a hurry.
The 2nd EIP or stimulus was issued in late 2020 or early 2021 and was $600 for adults and $600 for dependents under age 17.
