Your refund goes through the 3rd party bank when you select to have the Turbo Tax fees deducted from your refund. How much were your fees? Plus there is a Extra $40 Refund Processing Service charge (45 in California). If the $279 wasn't all for fees and the IRS adjusted your refund they will mail you a letter saying why.
