1) just be patient for the tax return to process - could be a bunch of month yet
2) suggest reporting his SSN to the IRS now
3) then he will be eligible for the 3rd stimulus ($1400)
@Critter-3 - can you please read through this and explain what @mariedelarosa needs to do? it's out of my league. Short story. Spouse filed with ITIN but SSN was issued in March, 2022 (after tax return was filed). That makes spouse eligible for 3rd stimulus which would not have been on the tax return as submitted. do they have to amend (I think so). How to report ITIN --> SSN to the IRS. Thank you in advance....
