And.....IF you are getting a refund for the amended return ----it will be in the form of a check the IRS will mail to you. The IRS does not make direct deposits when you get a refund for an amended return. Expect it to take up to a year for the IRS to process your amended return and send that check. Do not expect quick results from amending.
