After you file

Not sure what security code you are referring to---do you mean the 2020 AGI you were asked to enter?   That would have been found on line 11 of your 2020 tax form.   If you did not have it or the return was rejected for AGI you could have used zero.   Remember that if you file a return next year.  And....any time you are having a problem-----post here to the user forum for help.   We could have helped with the e-file rejection.

The IRS does not send receipts or acknowledgements that they received your tax return.   If you want confirmation that a mailed tax return has been received you need to use a service such as certified mail so that you can track it and know that it was received.  You say that you know it was received.

And...it is taking the IRS about six months or more to process mailed tax returns.  Your return might still be in the envelope.   If you had no tax due and are not getting a refund, you have no reason to worry about it.   You filed on time.   You might not even have had a requirement to file a tax return.

Eventually--and it might be months from now, you can check for your transcript on the IRS site.

And...since you were unable to e-file the federal return, it would have been impossible to e-file your state return.   You cannot e-file the state return unless you e-filed the federal and the IRS accepted the federal e-file.

You should not be expecting the state to acknowledge that they received your no refund/no tax due return---they do not do that.
