@keithandsharyn That error happens when folks incorrectly fail to enter the 3rd EIP payment they received in Federal Review for the recovery rebate credit. If you did not enter that you received the stimulus payment then the amount ended up on line 30 of your tax return. You cannot get that same stimulus money twice, so the IRS has to adjust your refund--and you ended up owing instead of getting a refund. You should have received letter 6475 from the IRS that showed the amount of the stimulus you received and you were asked to enter it in Federal Review.
