After you file

First--if your return has just been e-filed recently and has just been accepted, you need to slow down.  Wait for the original return to be fully processed before you amend.  The IRS is looking for and catching mistakes with the advance child tax credit so you might not need to amend for that.

When your return has been fully processed and you know where you stand with the CTC, then you can amend for the 1099NEC.

Since you have desktop----you open the 2021 return you already filed and go to Other Tax Situations.   Scroll down to Other Tax Forms>Amend a Return-----that will let you amend that specific return.
