After you file
You do not amend a rejected return. Stay away from any button that says "amend." Amending is s special process you only use if the return was submitted with mistakes and has been fully processed by the IRS. If it was rejected the IRS has not even laid eyes on it. You can correct your mistakes and re-file it. You might need to click on Add a State so that you can get back in to make those corrections. You do not really have to add a state, but that will let you back in to make changes.
