@Vtzedgar Exactly $1400 might not be an "offset" for child support or back taxes, but it could quite possibly be a mixup over the $1400 stimulus check. The IRS sent those checks out last year beginning in mid-March----did you receive one? Check your bank records. If the IRS thinks they sent you the $1400 stimulus and you put it on line 30 of your tax return, your refund was reduced because you cannot get the $1400 twice.
