More than likely the IRS will adjust your tax return accordingly since they know that the advance child tax credit payments were sent to you.  This will cause your tax refund to be delayed for several weeks or longer.

The IRS will send you a letter describing the changes that they made on your tax return which reduces your federal tax refund.

You do not need to amend your tax return unless you receive a letter from the IRS questioning the credits you did not enter on the tax return.
