@Jatari1521 You are confused. The $12,550 is your standard deduction. That only means that the first $12,550 of your income is "tax free." You only have to pay tax on the difference.
Look at boxes 2 and 17 on your W-2. That shows how much tax was withheld from your paychecks. If you had enough tax withheld to pay tax on about $21K then you would be getting a refund. If you did not have enough withheld then you owe tax or maybe get a very small refund.
