NOOOOOOO ... you cannot amend a return that has not been processed yet ... they is amending 101. That is why the amendment option is delayed for a month... it is done by design.
You MUST wait for the IRS to fully process the original return and you have the original refund in your hand !!!!
Many errors will be corrected by the IRS automatically ... so what mistake did you make that has you in a panic ???
