Where do you see your refund amount? The only refunds you should receive from anything filed with TurboTax are your State and Federal (IRS) refunds. Some of the reasons you may see a number different than you received are:
- The number you are looking at is your state and federal refunds combined. Since you say you received your state and IRS refund, it sounds like this could be a possibility. Did your state and IRS refund total the number you are seeing?
- The IRS made changes to your return and sent you the correct amount.
- There was an offset, so part of your refund was garnished for delinquent student loans, back taxes, or child support in arrears.
