After you file

@Softballmomma13 As explained---putting an amended return into the system affects your eligibility for the advance monthly child tax credit payments.  While you have an amended return pending, the IRS stops the monthly CTC payments.   If you sent in an amended return you will not receive any more of those payments, which end in December.   You will be waiting to seek the rest when you file your 2021 return.

The IRS is not going to react quickly to anything you put on an amended return, since it takes them at least six months to process an amended tax return.

You have not provided any details here regarding the dependent you added when you amended so we cannot say if you will even become eligible for the CTC as the result of amending your 2020 return.  We do not know if you worked in 2020----and that matters a lot.  In other threads you posted in you have described yourself as a "non-filer" so we do not know what source of income you entered on a 2020 tax return, nor do we know anything about the dependent you added.  We cannot see your tax returns.  We only know the limited information you have posted, which is not enough for us to predict whether you will even get the CTC by amending your 2020 return.
