After you file
Ok tom ... keep it to yourself but I was just looking to see if I could suggest another option for you if possible. You may be spinning your wheels for naught.
I still contend that if you have a state return in the .taxfile you will not be able to open the return at all. And even if you don't the infant program on the CD will be so undeveloped that even if you could open the return it will not look the same nor will you be able to make the corrections in the FORMS mode satisfactorily. But please let us know how you fair as I am sure we would all like to know.
That said ... going forward... ALWAYS save a PDF of the return with and without the worksheets for future reference. This is done in the Print Center either before or after you file. If you do it after you file it will include the filing history report as well. Doing this will save you troubles you find yourself in now.
