@LittleCat69 You have posted your question to a thread that is several years old, so the person who posted above is unlikely to see your question or reply.   It sounds like you are saying you mailed your return to the IRS but forgot to attach your W-2.   It is taking the IRS a very long time to process mailed tax returns---months in fact---so all you can do is wait.   The IRS might use the W-2 information that was submitted by your employer and go ahead and process your return....but it is also a possibility that they will request a copy of your W-2 from you.  So make sure you have a copy handy to send in just in case.   Did you remember to sign your Form 1040 on the line that says "Sign here?"
