After you file

@michellemack Sounds like you are confused.   Your original question above mentioned the IRS but now you are talking about Georgia.   There is a difference between your federal return which you filed with the IRS and your state return which was filed with Georgia.  Those are completely separate tax returns.   They are processed separately and different tax laws apply to each one.

The first $10,200 of unemployment is not taxable on your federal return which you filed with the IRS.   The state of Georgia is still taxing all unemployment, however.

You have not said whether you received the refund for your original tax return or when you filed that return.   If you had income of $150K or less and filed with unemployment before the federal tax law changed then you can receive an "extra" refund from the IRS for tax paid on that first $10,200 of unemployment.  You will not receive such a refund from GA.

You have posted to a number of different threads so it has become confusing to understand your issue.   You have mentioned amending but not whether you amended AFTER receiving your original refund, or just what you did when you amended.   There was no need to amend your federal return for unemployment since the IRS is taking care of those refunds without amending.

The IRS is recalculating refunds for people whose AGI is $150K or below and who filed before the tax law that changed the amount of unemployment that is taxable on a federal return became effective.

The IRS began to send out the additional refund checks for tax withheld from unemployment in May.  The refunds are being sent out in batches—starting with the simplest returns first.   If you are eligible for the extra refund for federal tax that was withheld from your unemployment the IRS will be sending you an additional refund sometime during the next several months.  TurboTax cannot track or predict when it will be sent.  The IRS has not provided a way for you to track it, so all you can do is wait for the refund to arrive.
