Same problem here! I discovered Turbotax left off the last 3 numbers of my bank account where it was to be directly deposited! I have seen others with the same problem.

Also, I could not get Turbotax to accept the 6 digit PIN; it would default to 5 digits, so I had to mail in the return.

Are these known glitches? They need to be addressed honestly by Turbotax, or many people will not be using them in the future!

TurboTax will accept a bank account number of up to 17 digits.  I have a 13 digit account number and had no issues.

For the 6 digit Identity Protection Pin it was not to be entered as the self-selected PIN for e-filing a tax return.

To enter a 6 digit IP PIN

  • Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
  • Click on Other Tax Situations
  • Scroll down to Other Return Info
  • On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button

Or enter ip pin in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to ip pin
