After you file

You should have read what you were really agreeing to.   People get in a hurry to file and do not read the screens carefully enough and then can be surprised by what you really agreed to when you chose to have your fees taken out of your federal refund.   What did you buy for $30----was it PLUS?   And when you agreed to have the fee for that taken out of your refund did you see that there is an additional $40 fee called a "refund processing fee" to have the third party bank receive your refund, take out your fees and send you the rest?   The amount they are after will likely really be $30  + $40 refund processing---even worse.   Sorry.

Call them and ask to have the fee deferred for awhile.

Did you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund?  Is your refund taking an unusually long time to arrive?  Or was your refund seized to pay a debt you owed? if so, you signed an agreement that says TT can withdraw its fees from your account.  TurboTax would have sent several emails to you before they took the money out of your account.
