Hi @beatrider77. If you removed your dependent on federal it should come off California as well. So without seeing your return, it's hard to figure out why the dependent is not coming off.
- Try going to Tax Tools in the left column
- Select Tools
- Select Delete a Form in Tools Center
- Check whether you have Form 3506, Form 2514 or Head of Household Filing Status Schedule. Delete those.
You can also select Start Over for California. That will clear out your data but you will probably have to go through all of CA again to fix the amended return.
