After you file

If you had unemployment on the return then the IRS will automatically recalculate the return and send the corrected refund ... DO NOT amend for that reason.  https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-to-recalculate-taxes-on-unemployment-benefits-refunds-to-start-in-m...

However, taxpayers would have to file an amended return if they did not originally claim the EITC or other credits but now are eligible because the exclusion changed their income.  Once the IRS sends the original refund and/or the corrected amount  AND  you have a new credit to report ONLY THEN will you amend the return ... don't try to jump the gun as this will only delay things further.
