I am trying to remove a dependent from my 1040 form. I e-filed in Turbo Tax and am trying to amend using 1040x. Turbo Tax doesn't pull in any information in line 25 or 30 of 1040X. I was able to go into the forms and add the required information but my son's name doesn't appear in line 30(a) even though I manually typed it in the form. Why doesn't Turbo Tax fill in the correct information automatically and still won't show my son's name after manually typing it in. Isn't this information required per the IRS instructions? Thanks.
