After you file
"Pending" is an efile status. It normally means it is awaiting a decision by the IRS to accept the return to begin processing it, or reject the efile. It normally takes 24-48 hours or so. There has been a snafu affecting some users, however. Due to some kind of software problem somewhere between TurboTax and the IRS, a lot of returns have been stuck for many days with a status of "pending" which may have actually been rejected, possibly by TurboTax. TurboTax apparently sent out some emails to affected customers informing them of that, but some didn't get it. Check your email's spam/junk folder or any other email account you have.
Phone TurboTax Support and ask them if you were one of those whose accounts are erroneously showing a status of "pending", especially since you have now gone over 12 days. If they say you were affected, ask them the reason for the rejection while you have them.
Hours are 5AM-9PM Pacific (8AM-12 Midnight Eastern) 7 days/week.
