After you file

If you’re not able to print:
- Many printing problems can be resolved by installing the latest version of Adobe Reader.
- Many printing problems can be resolved by installing the latest version of Adobe Reader.
- Try printing a PDF of your return.
- If you saved a PDF of your 2018 or prior year return, locate the PDF on your computer and print it.

If you didn't save a PDF of your return or you can't find it:
- For a 2018 return:
- Open your return in the TurboTax program.
- Click the File menu in the upper left.
- Now select Save to PDF. (Be sure to note where you save the PDF on your computer for future reference).
- Open the PDF and print it.

Troubleshooting Steps
Follow these steps in the order given:
- Make sure your printer's drivers and computer's operating system are up-to-date.
- Make sure your TurboTax software is up-to-date.
- Make sure the printer you're using is your default printer.
- Remove all other devices (external or thumb drives, scanners, etc.) which can sometimes interfere with printers.
- Shut your computer and printer down for 15-30 seconds, and then turn them back on.
- If your printer is on a network, try a direct connection to a printer using a cable.
