After you file
or.....are you incorrectly referring to your actual tax return as a W-2?
Do you understand that there is a difference between a tax return that you send to the IRS and a W-2 that you get from an employer in January? Only an employer puts information on a W-2. A taxpayer completes a tax return and enters information from a W-2 onto it.
Did you file a 2019 tax return that did not include your wife's income? Did you file a joint return or did you file married filing separately? What are you trying to do?
