Are you sure you mailed the return to the correct address ? https://www.irs.gov/filing/where-to-file-paper-tax-returns-with-or-without-a-payment
And did you use a tracking of some kind ? If not then since you did file so early then mailing in another copy now would probably be the correct thing to do.
