After you file

Mailed returns are not "accepted" in the way that e-filed returns are accepted, so nothing will ever show up on the TurboTax site showing that the IRS received a tax return that you mailed.  The software has no way to know that you put your tax return in an envelope and took it to a mailbox.  And if you paid your tax due, TurboTax will  never know.  TurboTax gets no information from the IRS or state after you file your tax return.  If you mail anything to the IRS or state, you should use a mailing service that tracks it-- like certified mail or UPS--- so you will know it was received.  Your only proof of paying tax you owed will be your own bank/credit card records.
