If you used the TurboTax online editions to prepare the federal tax return and entered investment sales, then you had to be using the Premier online edition. If you paid for the 2108 Premier online edition you will need to contact TurboTax support so they can push a 2018 Premier desktop edition to your download account at no charge. However, if you did not pay for the 2018 state online program you will need to pay for the desktop state program, $44.99.
