After you file

@weyrisa I did read your post.  We cannot see your 2018 return or access your account so we do not know what went wrong with your 2018 return--we cannot tell if you have a user error for 2018 and did not enter your children as dependents or if the IRS made a mistake (that happens too).  You say last year was the first time you used TT--perhaps you did not enter the dependents correctly.  And there were major tax law changes that went into effect for 2018 and beyond.  The forms changed, the tax laws changed--Not sure what line your are referring to that has a "big fat zero."  Your dependent(s) would be listed up near the top of your 2018 Form 1040.

Look to see if you said you could be claimed as someone else's dependent; or see if your child is claimed as your dependent on that 2018 return.  Does it show your filing status as Head of Household?  That is also going to be at the top of the page.

Claiming "zero deductions" does not make sense; you are not required to itemize deductions in order to receive a stimulus check.

And....you have not filed a return for 2019?  Why not?  Get it prepared and filed so they can use 2019's return to issue your stimulus check.
