I'm not sure I agree with you. There is no reason for my stimulus check to be delayed. I filed my 2018 and 2019 returns but filed my federal return for 2019 on March 30th. So if they're "independent of each other," and the IRS has my direct deposit info, I should've received the stimulus check already!
