For your state filing status:

The main IRS guidance is that how the tax return was filed in 2018 or 2019 will determine the amount of the stimulus check. If there were events that occurred after December 31, 2019, then there may be an additional stimulus payment, but it would not occur immediately.

 

Be very careful what emails you answer. Sadly, there are bad people wanting to steal taxpayer information by posing as official resources.

We are still waiting for IRS guidance regarding updating or providing direct deposit information for the stimulus payments and how they will be distributed to these type of accounts. We will have more information once the government finalizes the details.
