After you file
Do you know if the IRS "Accepted" your 2018 tax return? When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.

If the return was filed and you did not receive your refund, you would have to contact the IRS once they reopen the phone line.
How do I contact the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)?
Note:
You will need to follow the prompts in order to speak to an IRS agent. There is a high call volume this time of year.
When calling the IRS do NOT choose Option 1.
Choose Option 2 after you choose the language.
Then Press 1
Then Press 3
Then Press 2, it will then transfer you to an agent.
