"Accepted" means there was enough data on the return for the IRS to take it in for processing.  "Approved" is a later step---they review it and make sure you do not owe back child support, back taxes, etc. before they approve of issuing the refund.

Your 2 week wait may be longer than you have experienced in the past, but two weeks is not at all unusual--in fact, it is a short time. 9 out of 10 returns are processed within 21 days.   There is not a way to speed up the process.  Watch the IRS site for the status of your refund.
