After you file
You asked: "Has anyone else seen a delay in their state refund being processed and direct to deposited? Filed onn1/27"
That's too general. You need to name your specific state to get a meaningful response from fellow users.
There are over 40 state tax agencies. Some are quick with refunds, while some can take weeks. The North Carolina tax website, for instance, says it can take 6-8 weeks for an efiled return, and 12 weeks for a paper return.
You also said "filed on 1/27". But you didn't say if it was accepted. You need to be sure that your efiled return was accepted. You can check by logging into your Online account, and at the Tax Home check the efile status.
If it was accepted, you can use the info at the FAQ below to check on the status of your state refund. Your state website may also have a FAQ page or a statement on their refund lookup page that says about how long it takes to get a refund in your state.
