Here is a little more information for the steps to help you amend your return when the forms are released.
If you have filed your return, but it has not been accepted, you will need to wait until the return is accepted before you can file an amended return.
Please note the amended 1040X is not scheduled to be released until February 12, 2020. You will not be able to file your amended return until after this date.
