Ready to Mail...means you have to print out your own copies from the Print Center....and mail them yourself at the Post Office. No one is mailing the forms to you.
You can still switch to E-file and not mess with snail-mailing anything to the IRS and state. (in most cases...except for a few states, not for a couple weeks) .
