Once you have confirmed you need to change your filing status before you have submitted your return to the IRS, follow the steps below:
- Login to your Turbo Tax account.
- Go to the "My Information" tab . You should see "Let's confirm your marital status".
- Click continue and answer questions appropriately or delete inaccurate information.
- Select "Done" and follow the next prompts.
- Turbo Tax will determine the best filing status for you.
