How do I get a copy of a return I prepared using desktop TurboTax?

Note: Every year, before mid-October, print a copy of your current year tax return and save it as a tax file and pdf, too. That way you will have it when you need it for school, a loan, next year’s tax return, etc. without going through a lot of aggravation (and expense) to get it.

If you prepared in TurboTax Online, here is how to access your prior return:
- Make sure you’re signed in to your TurboTax account you used last year.
- Select Tax Home from the left menu.
- Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents and select 2018.
- Select View adjusted gross Income (AGI)
If you prepared your tax return in TurboTax CD/Download, it should be saved on your computer.
