The electronic filing status for a 2012 tax return is no longer available using TurboTax. If you have the emails from TurboTax showing the date/time the return was transmitted and the date it was Accepted by the IRS, those could be your proof of filing.
The only transcript available from the IRS for a return that old would be a Tax Account Transcript at this IRS website - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
