If in fact you filed "last year" that would have been for 2017, so what are you trying to do now with a 2017 return? Are you trying to amend it?
You cannot ever change the year on the tax software. Each year has it own software written specifically for the tax laws in effect for that tax year. The current online software can only be used for a 2018 tax return -- it cannot be changed to 2016 or 2017.
If you need to file for a different year you have to purchase and download the desktop software for the earlier year and then print sign and mail the return.
