Can I get a copy of the file sent to the IRS by TurboTax for my 2017 return?
I have just (Aug 12, 2019) received a message from the IRS stating that nearly none of the 2017 1099-B, 1099-DIV, and 1099-INT data that they have on file matches my tax return. They detail the transactions, all of which match the proceeds I reported. However, none of the data provided by the IRS includes a basis for the original purchases. So, they think I under-reported a whole lot of stock sales. But I didn't.
I have just opened my return for the first time since the day I filed it, and everything that the IRS says is missing is included in my return. The refund ETF'd to my bank account matches the refund amount in my .tax2017 file.
I didn't keep the emails sent by TurboTax confirming receipt of my return, or of its status with the IRS. Is there some way to get a copy of that file from TurboTax? Or is there a way to determine from TurboTax if the file sent to the IRS contains the information that I think it contains?
