Irs saying that i owe them even after paying my taxes with turbotax
I have filled and paid my taxes with you but today i got a mail from the irs saying that i owe them money (about the same amount that i already paid. What does it mean? What should i do?
1) Do your bank records (account or credit card statement) show the payment from your account took place?
TurboTax can only include payment option you selected with return. You are responsible for ensuring payment actually takes place; IRS does Not send payment acknowledgement to TurboTax.
Yes i have the records, right after i completed the tax filing on the app i provided my account and the money was taken out accordingly. Should i try to contact the irs directly?
