Before Amending be sure that your original tax return has first been accepted or rejected. If rejected, you can go back and add the Form 5695. Once Amended here's how to add Form 5695 in TurboTax Online:
To enter information on Form 5695 in TurboTax follow the below
steps.
- Sign into TurboTax Online
- Continue your return by
click Taxes > Tax Timeline > Continue
your return.
- Go to the Federal Taxes tab (Personal tab in TurboTax Home and Business)
- Click on Deductions and Credits
- Scroll down to Your Home and click Show More
- Find Home Energy Credits > click Start/Revisit
- This will bring you to
the Home-Savings Home
Improvements page.
- Proceed through the
interview to add your home improvements.
