After you file
So you are not claiming the Earned Income Credit or the Earned Income Child Tax Credit? Also, since the IRS didn't open season until 1/29, they are asking that we all wait 21 days. So I don't think anything is wrong necessarily. There are just a lot of changes that took place for this tax season and regardless of when you filed, they wouldn't even be processing or begin processing until 01/29
The IRS has stated (see FAQ in answer) above :
Most taxpayers won’t be impacted by the PATH Act :
The IRS expects that the majority of tax refunds (more than 9 out of 10)
will be issued in 21 days or less from the time of acceptance.Also please see:
