After the IRS has accepted your return, refunds are usually issued within 21 days of that. The IRS has stated that they are not accepting e-filed returns until January 29, 2018. So if you file your return in TurboTax before January 29, we'll hold your return and submit it at that time.  When will the IRS start accepting e-filed returns?

After that date, allow 24-48 hours to get notice of being accepted or rejected by the IRS and then they will process your return. Be sure to go ahead and activate the card. When will my refund be deposited to my Turbo Prepaid Visa® Card?
