You can go back and file the State return after filing the Federal. You can't efile the State by itself, however, until the Federal has been accepted.
- You can log in and go to your 2016 Tax Timeline. Scroll down to "Some things you can do" and click "Add a State."
- Then once the return is open you can go to the State Taxes tab to complete your state return.
