The federal and state tax returns are mailed to separate addresses.
If you mailed the federal and state tax returns in one envelope to the address for the state, the state tax authority will not send the federal tax return to the IRS.
You will need to print, sign, date and mail the federal tax return to the IRS and include with the return copies of all W-2's and Form 1099's which have taxes withheld on the form.
