In order to claim Head of Household, you would have to have dependents that you claim and pay more than half of the cost to maintain the household.

 

If you have no dependents, you cannot claim head of household.  If you are not married, you would only be able to file as single. 

 

If you have children that live with you, that you are supporting and you pay rent and other bills and expenses that amount to more than half of the cost of maintaining the household, then you can claim head of household.

 

If you do not qualify as head of household and you have kids, if your father and step mother provided most of the support, then they may be able to claim your children as dependents.
