Did you make a mistake with the child tax credit? A $1500 reduction in your refund sounds like you did not enter the amount of the advance child tax credit payments you received for a child age 6 to 17 between July and December. Did you receive those payments last year and forget to enter them? Or did you say that you did not receive the 3rd EIP payment---when you actually did receive it?
